"Van Der Laan's first Summer signing...."

With the season only just finished, Manager Van Der Laan has made his first signing of the Summer, and it's an off the field appointment with the return of former Eccleshall FC Manager Nick Farrington to the coaching team.

Nick, a UEFA B licensed coach, returns as one of our First Team Coaches and will add further experience to the backroom team of Robin van der Laan, Paul Groves, Alan Baxter and Jake Ratcliffe.

Robin had this to say when asked about the appointment " Its fantastic to see our 1st team backroom staff growing like this as the last few years we have operated with a 2/3 man team and its another great step forward and show’s the club is making big strides forward both on and off the field. Nick is a good, young and ambitious coach who has worked very well with us a couple of seasons ago and will bring youthfulness and new ideas to our experienced management team. After the successful appointment of Alan Baxter as the first part of our 1st team management expansion plan we were always on the lookout for another quality coach to be added to our coaching staff. The development of our players as individuals and the position specific work we want to do with them is crucial to our long-term plans and will ultimately make us better as a team. It will also put our ambitious and talented young players in the spotlight for scouts from full-time clubs in higher leagues. Quality coaches are needed to do this job professionally as this can’t be done effectively without 3 or 4 good coaches, we are therefore delighted that Nick is going to be part of our journey”
