Welcome to our unique
Paid Football and Education
Programme
This is a fantastic initiative that has been part of the club’s long-term plan and coincides with the clubs vision of developing the very best young players in the area, this is evident with our first team which is the youngest team in the league.
Once the scouted players enrol on our programme we instantly progress these young and talented players into semi professional football players as these players will be paid a monthly salary for their football endeavours. This new initiative will run alongside our existing football and education programme which will continue as usual and has seen great success. This programme is entering its 5 year next September and is based at our 20 acre purpose build football facility at Roe Lane Playing Fields in Newcastle under Lyme.
Expert coaching by our 1st team manager and ex Premier League Captain Robin van der Laan ensures the very best quality on the training ground and that each player’s development is closely monitored so that progression into the 1st team and Reserves can be timed just right.
Students study on the NCFE physical activity in sports coaching Level 3 extended diploma which gives them great exit routes into the sports industry or into further education with ourselves
