Tuesday 1st October 2019 - Midland Floodlit League
Newcastle Town FC U18s 2-4 Barrow Town FC U18s

Going into the game undefeated in the league, the Midlands Floodlit Under 18s were high on confidence looking to extend the run to 6 games. The start saw Leo Forlani called into action twice in the Newcastle goal, saving well on both occasions. Kaseem Azam missed a good header in the lead up to half time, but two moments of quality saw Castle unlock the Barrow defence.
Matthew Harrison with a excellent diagonal, Lewis Wood with a superb pass and Oliver Putnam with an excellent turn and finish.
Connor Lawton added Castle's second a few minutes later, another good move, nicely finished off.

Unfortunately after a bright start to the second half, Barrow struck. In a dominant 20 minute spell, Barrow drew level and took the lead as Castle struggled to keep their game plan together. In the end the game fizzled out and Castle had suffered their first league defeat of the season.
