Former joint Manager of Newcastle Town First team Dave Dale is delighted

Former joint Manager of Newcastle Town First team Dave Dale is delighted to be heading up the opportunity of adding his experience to help continue the development of both coaches and players in what he describes as the best youth set up in the area outside of professional club level.

''Its a fantastic challenge to work with our coaches and players in a club with such ambition for its players, a history of success and the best youth facilities in the area.
Together we will increase the number of opportunities for players to progress to a higher level, the main aim being our first team.

We are fortunate here at Newcastle Town as the board of Directors, Director of Youth Gavin Appleby and first Team manager Robin Van Der Laan all have great faith in a Youth policy. Our current first team squad has an average age of twenty one with players as young as seventeen in the squad, we have a Manager not afraid to play young players, however first they must develop the skills, know how, and personalities to impress consistently to give themselves a chance.

What is important now is that everyone buys into a continued coaching and development philosophy to ensure our young players get their chance, we all must work hard to provide a great learning and development ethic for our players and coaches''.

Dale (pictured on the right after Thursday nights Sentinel Shield win) takes on the senior role as Coach Development & Recruitment Officer with immediate effect.

Dales other responsibilities include recruitment of players, building on key links with professional clubs and the correct links with local semi professional clubs.
