Second chance to progress in cup comes on Tuesday
Now that the dust has settled on Saturday’s season opener, it’s time to get the job done at our gaff.
There won’t be many changes to the team which took to the pitch on Saturday, although we are disappointed to report that Louie Holden will have a spell on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury in the 2-2 draw at Romulus.
Please join us in wishing Louis a speedy recovery and hoping that we see him back in a ‘Castle shirt before too long.
While Louis’ injury is frustrating coming in our first competitive match of the season, Jack Derbyshire is available again, so will be available to slot into our defence for the replay at Buckmaster Avenue if called upon.
There were excellent signs in the game at Romulus on Saturday that this could be a very exciting season, so there is a real sense of expectation around our replay on Tuesday that we can make further progress in this season’s competition.
With Kidsgrove (away) and Hanley (home) also in action tomorrow night it will be a busy night of cup football locally. Our intention is to ensure that we put in a professional performance to seal our place in the next round.
Kick off is at 7.45pm so please come out to support Paul Moore and the boys tomorrow evening if you can.
Come on ‘Castle!
