Men's Squad Update

We are happy to provide the following squad update..

Following Saturday’s home fixture against Mossley FC, we can provide some updates to our Men's 1st team squad.

We are pleased to announce Archie Davis has joined us from Stockport County on loan until January. The man mountain defender had an excellent debut this weekend, and we are all looking forward to seeing him progress during his time with us.

Another player making their debut was Jack Bostock who first performed in Castle colours in the 3-0 win versus Nantwich Town a few weeks ago. Jack has signed from fellow step 4 club Lichfield City.

Those of you that follow non league football will note back up goalkeeper Adam Whitehouse has been and continues to remain on loan at Eccleshall FC for the past few games. He has played an important role in their recent form.

Speaking on loans, it’s worth noting that Nathan Barry continues to do well at our friends Foley Meir FC, where he also remains on loan.

There are a couple of goodbyes however with Jensen Tortoishell and Angus

Lloyd both returning to their parent club. We would like to pass on our thanks to Stoke City for trusting us with their development over the past month.

In injury news, fan favourite Tom Jones remains out of action due to an ongoing issue. Unfortunately it looks like a longer layoff than shorter one for Jones at this stage but the injury is continually being assessed and we hope for better news sooner rather than later and welcoming Tom back to the GRG Stadium.

Luca Whitney remains on the side-lines too after his injury in the Fa Cup. Having just found his feet and first goal against Sporting Khalsa, the injury couldn’t have come at a worst point. We’re hoping to see him back in a Castle shirt soon.

Striker Luca Whitney is still side-lined.

Town are in action away versus Congleton Town this coming weekend and stand in managers Paul Wright and Dean Gillick continue to deputize in the absence of Gaffer Neil Baker who is recovering well at home.
